The two riders were part of the World Superbike contingent attending the event.

The 2015 edition of the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed, which takes place in West Sussex, England, gathered as usual an impressive amount of fans and motor enthusiast, who were able to enjoy a weekend full of marvelous examples of two and four-wheeled vehicles from past and present times. As every year, many professional riders attended the show including some of the stars of World Superbike, who also took part in the famous lap 1.16 mile ‘Hillclimb’ event.

Amongst the many WorldSBK riders attending the FoS were two of the most prolific, reigning Champion Sylvain Guintoli (Pata Honda World Superbike) and multiple race winner Chaz Davies (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati Superbike Team), who had their share of fun throughout the weekend. Both riders found some time to reflect on the first half of the season and to give their points of view for the remaining rounds.

“It’s the first time for me at Goodwood” Guintoli told WorldSBK.com. “I’ve never been to anything like this before in my life. All the best bikes and cars are gathered here during the weekend”. Speaking about World Superbike the Frenchman added: “All of the upcoming tracks are great. Laguna is a great track and I’ve scored some good results there in the past, so hopefully we can do well. This year is not easy, we are struggling but I will do my best to get closer to the podium.”

“For me Laguna is awesome, probably the best track of the year” Davies said. “I’m very excited, I love the USA and hopefully we can put the Panigale back on the top step of the podium. I hope we can start winning some races and get the better of the Kawasakis. They’re always 0.1, 0.2s faster and my goal is to bridge that gap and finish ahead of them. It won’t be easy, but I want to try in the second part of the season to do more.”
